Gallagher Bassett is seeking a Desktop Investigator to conduct fraud-related claim investigations and build detailed claimant profiles using online sources, public records, and social media. You will work under general supervision to gather information, prepare reports, and support defense strategies.

This role emphasizes meticulous data collection, strong written communication, and the ability to manage multiple cases with sensitivity and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience required.
• Proficient with internet search engines and social media.
• Familiar with major social media platforms and online sources.
• Knowledge of LexisNexis, TLO and other resources.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and evaluates potentially fraudulent claims under general supervision.
• Conducts basic to moderately complex investigations and compiles claimant profiles.
• Prepares investigation reports and supports defense strategies.
• Uses computer-based sources, social media, and public records.
• Communicates to obtain missing information and documents.
• Submits search requests to government agencies and maintains quality reports.
• Maintains diaries, follows up with clients, and supports training programs.
• Reviews reports for accuracy and compliance.
