Job summary

The MedServ Group is seeking a licensed physician to serve as a Dermatology Collaborating Physician in North Carolina. This part-time, 100% remote role supports nurse practitioners delivering care to residents in skilled nursing facilities, while ensuring compliant collaboration under NC requirements.

The ideal candidate holds an MD or DO, an active NC license, DEA registration, and experience with geriatric care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Active, unrestricted physician license in North Carolina.
• DEA registration and NC controlled-substance credentials as required.
• Experience with geriatric patients in clinical settings.
• Dermatology experience or familiarity with dermatology nurse practitioner services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with and provide supervision or oversight to nurse practitioners in dermatology services, per NC law.
• Work remotely with nurse practitioners to support care planning and resident care at multiple facilities.
• Maintain an active and valid North Carolina medical license and required credentials.
• Communicate with nurse practitioners and the MedServ team regarding clinical collaboration and operational needs.
• Follow state laws, professional practice requirements, and organizational policies related to physician collaboration.
