Job summary

GovCIO seeks a Deputy Project Manager to support complex VA initiatives, including VistA transition and EHR modernization. This fully remote role requires coordinating across SMEs, analysts, and government partners, translating priorities into actionable plans, and tracking risks and milestones.

Ideal candidates have extensive federal civilian experience and strong problem-solving skills. Core hours are 8:00 AM–5:00 PM ET, with occasional weekend support during deployment events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or related field.
• 15+ years of work experience required.
• 10 years of additional relevant experience may substitute for the degree.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager in day-to-day program execution and stakeholder commitments.
• Coordinate activities across technical SMEs, Data Analysts, and government partners.
• Translate client requirements into actionable plans with measurable outcomes.
• Monitor scope, schedule, risks, dependencies, and resources across multiple activities.
• Identify emerging requirements and develop practical solutions before delivery impact.
