Job summary

Oklo is seeking a Deployment Project Manager to own end-to-end delivery of complex powerhouse deployments, from design to startup and turnover to operations. The role coordinates with internal teams, external partners, and regulators, driving planning, risk management, and executive reporting in a fast-moving, startup-driven environment.

The position requires a strong engineering/technical background, 5+ years of PM experience, and willingness to travel 25–40% with remote work options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (engineering, project mgmt, construction, nuclear, business).
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience leading complex technical, engineering, construction, manufacturing, or operational projects.
• Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, milestones, and cross-functional dependencies.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, resolve blockers, and communicate with stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate with agility in a fast-moving, evolving organization.
• Proficiency with project planning, scheduling, and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end execution of powerhouse facility deployments from design through startup and turnover to operations.
• Maintain integrated project plans, schedules, milestones, and execution tools.
• Identify and escalate risks, issues, dependencies, and changes to protect critical path and objectives.
• Lead project governance routines, including status reviews, stage-gate reviews, and executive reporting.
• Manage project scope, risks, issues, and dependencies with mitigation strategies.
• Communicate project status and strategic insights to stakeholders.
• Oversee permitting, licensing, facility modifications, equipment installations, and upgrades.
• Coordinate with internal teams, customers, contractors, vendors, and external stakeholders.
• Contribute to technical strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure projects are executed safely, compliantly, and with quality and regulatory requirements.
