Job summary

The Dental Practice Mechanics is seeking a Dental Insurance Billing Specialist to support a remote team across multiple dental practices. You will manage the revenue cycle, post insurance payments, and process claims with a focus on accuracy and timely reimbursement.

This role requires at least five years of dental billing experience, strong CDT coding knowledge, and proficiency with payer portals and practice management software.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of dental insurance billing experience, including multi-office account management.
• Strong knowledge of CDT coding, dental terminology, and revenue cycle management.
• Experience with insurance payer websites, EFT retrieval, claims submission, and payment posting.
• Familiarity with clearinghouses; Vyne experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Eaglesoft, Open Dental, Dentrix, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED required; college coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the dental revenue cycle, including insurance payment posting and claim processing.
• Submit clean claims and resolve claim rejections and denials.
• Apply insurance payment adjustments and Explanation of Benefits (EOB) procedures.
• Maintain accounts receivable and work to reduce insurance aging.
• Utilize payer portals, clearinghouses, and practice management software.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and accurate patient account documentation.
• Support a portfolio of 4 to 5 dental practice clients.
