Job summary

Virtual Teammate is seeking a friendly, organized Remote Dental Receptionist to support dental practices virtually. You will handle scheduling, inquiries, and administrative tasks to ensure a smooth patient experience.

You should have 1–2 years of dental receptionist experience, strong English communication, and familiarity with Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, or CareStack. This remote role requires independent work and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience as a dental receptionist.
• Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).
• Familiarity with dental workflows and terminology.
• Experience with dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, CareStack).
• Excellent multitasking and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and customer service mindset.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setup.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls, emails, and messages from patients in a timely and professional manner.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information.
• Provide basic information about services, procedures, and office policies.
• Manage appointment calendars and optimize scheduling efficiency.
• Send reminders and follow-ups for upcoming or missed appointments.
• Assist with insurance verification and patient benefit breakdowns (if needed).
• Coordinate with dental staff regarding patient needs and schedule changes.
• Maintain accurate records in the practice management system.
• Handle patient concerns with professionalism and empathy.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and confidentiality of patient information.
