Job summary

Toyota Material Handling North America (TMHNA) is seeking a Dealer Environmental Health and Safety Leader to guide safety and environmental initiatives across our dealer network. You will independently lead assessments, coach dealers, and drive programs to reduce risk and strengthen regulatory compliance.

The role involves coordinating training, ergonomics projects, and risk-reduction activities, with a focus on standardizing practices and supporting safety culture development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Six or more years of Safety or related field experience required.
• Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, transportation, field service, or servicing environment preferred.
• EHS-related professional certifications such as OSHA 10/30, ASP, CSP, or CHMM preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage safety programs, projects, assessments, and investigations.

Responsibilities

• Independently lead and support safety and environmental initiatives across the TMHNA dealer network.
• Conduct dealer safety and environmental assessments, inspections, incident reviews, and loss-control activities.
• Provide guidance on regulatory and compliance matters and develop training and awareness initiatives.
• Lead ergonomics and injury-prevention projects and support risk-reduction activities.
• Standardize safe work procedures, PPE use, and safe-driving practices for dealer technicians.
• Lead enterprise-wide dealer purchasing initiatives such as vehicle dash cameras and PPE.
• Perform Safety Policy/Handbook gap assessments and address gaps with dealers.
• Lead monthly safety meetings with dealer safety representatives.
• Coordinate communication of customer safety requirements applicable to dealer technicians.
• Develop and conduct safety presentations at key meetings and forums.
• Coordinate dealer reassessments using a safety culture survey and identify improvement opportunities.
