Toyoda Gosei Americas is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety Leader to guide the plant's safety program. You will direct initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA and EPA, and partner with corporate safety leaders to align with company standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable regulations.
Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
ISO14001 and ISO45001 auditor certifications preferred; lead auditor preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS reporting systems.
Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.

Responsabilités

Lead and manage all aspects of environmental, health, and safety initiatives.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Coordinate and administer EHS programs across the facility.
Support and participate in safety committee meetings and related activities.
Partner with Toyota personnel at TGTX and other TG AMC Safety leaders to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory safety standards.
Develop, coordinate, and conduct EHS training programs, including site-specific training.
Provide guidance and support to employees and leadership on safety-related matters.
Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
Ensure employees understand and comply with all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
Conduct facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures in accordance with best practices and regulatory changes.
Monitor compliance with safety, environmental, and health regulations and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Investigate accidents, incidents, injuries, and near-miss events.
Identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce future risk.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to incidents and corrective actions.
Manage environmental compliance programs, including hazardous waste management and disposal, air emissions, water quality, environmental reporting.
Support sustainability initiatives that align with company goals and environmental objectives.
Oversee Workers' Compensation cases and records; communicate with insurers, medical providers, and employees.
Monitor restricted duty and lost-time cases and work to minimize impact through effective case management and return-to-work programs.
Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support environmental, health, and safety objectives.
Drive initiatives that improve workplace safety, environmental performance, and operational efficiency.
Track, analyze, and report EHS performance metrics to senior leadership, including incident rates, near-miss reporting, training completion rates, and workers' compensation trends.
