Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • 3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable regulations.
  • Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
  • ISO14001 and ISO45001 auditor certifications preferred; lead auditor preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHS reporting systems.
  • Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all aspects of environmental, health, and safety initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and administer EHS programs across the facility.
  • Support and participate in safety committee meetings and related activities.
  • Partner with Toyota personnel at TGTX and other TG AMC Safety leaders to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory safety standards.
  • Develop, coordinate, and conduct EHS training programs, including site-specific training.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and leadership on safety-related matters.
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
  • Ensure employees understand and comply with all safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Conduct facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and procedures in accordance with best practices and regulatory changes.
  • Monitor compliance with safety, environmental, and health regulations and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, injuries, and near-miss events.
  • Identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce future risk.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to incidents and corrective actions.
  • Manage environmental compliance programs, including hazardous waste management and disposal, air emissions, water quality, environmental reporting.
  • Support sustainability initiatives that align with company goals and environmental objectives.
  • Oversee Workers' Compensation cases and records; communicate with insurers, medical providers, and employees.
  • Monitor restricted duty and lost-time cases and work to minimize impact through effective case management and return-to-work programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support environmental, health, and safety objectives.
  • Drive initiatives that improve workplace safety, environmental performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Track, analyze, and report EHS performance metrics to senior leadership, including incident rates, near-miss reporting, training completion rates, and workers' compensation trends.
