Job summary

The University of Rochester seeks a part-time Deaf CBT-TS Interventionist to conduct remote intervention sessions with Deaf participants (n=55) for a National Institute of Mental Health funded trial. The role requires ASL fluency, clinical skills, and cultural knowledge of Deaf communities, under PI supervision.

Training includes manual review, workshops, role-play, and exam; supervision is weekly, and sessions occur via Zoom. 10–15 hours per week, with potential for up to 4 years of involvement.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or related mental health field.
• 1 year of experience in clinical work with Deaf individuals.
• Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and able to adapt to diverse Deaf individuals.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Deaf CBT-TS Intervention Sessions.
• Coordinate scheduling of intervention sessions.
• Manage study email and Zoom sessions.
• Record notes from all sessions and maintain data confidentiality.
• Provide weekly supervision and participate in team meetings.
• Complete training and adhere to study protocol.
