Job summary

Nutanix is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect for the Americas to lead pre-sales architecture for Nutanix Database Service (NDB), drive technical discovery, and validate database modernization strategies across enterprise accounts.

This role requires deep database expertise (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, MySQL), DBaaS experience, and ability to travel up to 50%. Remote within the United States with flexibility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing pre-sales technical role (Solutions Architect, Systems Engineer, or Database Specialist).
• Deep expertise in database automation, DBaaS, and hybrid multi-cloud infra; strong knowledge of DBA workflows, HA/DR, and performance tuning.
• Ability to articulate database TCO, licensing savings, and operational efficiency to senior IT leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-sales architecture and technical discovery for enterprise opportunities.
• Prepare POCs, demonstrations, and RFIs/RFPs to progress deals.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to influence roadmaps and deliver full-stack architectures.
• Travel up to 50% across the Americas as required for customer engagements.
