Job summary

Lodestar Law LLC is a fully remote law firm specializing in representing injured workers in DBA and related federal workers’ compensation matters. The Litigation Attorney will manage a substantial caseload, coordinating with paralegals, medical providers, and experts to advance advocacy and strategy across OWCP and OALJ matters.

Qualifications

• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Meaningful litigation, administrative law, workers’ compensation, or comparable case-management experience.
• Excellent legal research, writing, oral advocacy, negotiation, and strategic analysis skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage numerous active matters and overlapping deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accurate, source-supported work.
• High ethical standards, discretion, and commitment to claimant representation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a high-volume caseload from assignment through resolution while maintaining individualized client service.
• Evaluate claims, defenses, medical evidence, vocational evidence, employment and wage records, prior statements, and procedural history.
• Develop and implement case strategy, including evidence plans, discovery priorities, expert needs, and settlement posture.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, position statements, hearing submissions, and substantive client correspondence.
• Represent clients in conferences, mediations, depositions, hearings, and other administrative proceedings.
• Coordinate with paralegals, case managers, medical providers, experts, vendors, interpreters, and coverage counsel.
