The successful candidate will possess a NY license, 7+ years of NY workers' compensation experience, and strong skills in negotiation, documentation, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in handling NY complex workers' compensation claims and workers' compensation litigation.
• Strong level of expertise in commercial workers compensation coverage, evaluation and negotiation techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to lead or participate in meetings and seminars.
• Computer literacy, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• NY License required.

Responsibilities

• Promptly evaluates assigned claims; develops strategy to mitigate indemnity, medical, and loss adjustment expense exposure.
• Tracks status of claims using management reports and tools (e.g., Excel).
• Establishes and maintains reserves with documented rationale; notifies when exposure exceeds authority.
• Executes action plans for claim resolution balancing expense and loss outcomes.
• Collaborates with internal and external professionals to reach dispositions.
• Manages litigation and defense counsel to protect insured and Lodestar interests.
