Job summary

SaiTech, Inc. is seeking a remote Database Administrator to support NASA applications across diverse platforms, including SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. The role emphasizes reliability, data integrity, and seamless operations.

You will work in a collaborative environment, implementing backups, patches, HA/DR strategies, and performance optimization while communicating clearly with stakeholders and end-users in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 6+ years of experience as a Database Administrator.
• Experience supporting NASA applications is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of database design, development, and integration principles.
• Proficient in ANSI SQL and database administration best practices.
• Experience with backup, recovery, patching, and provisioning of enterprise databases.
• Familiarity with HA/DR architectures and virtualization concepts.
• Proficient in scripting (PowerShell or similar) and UNIX basics.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain database systems across SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL.
• Install, configure, upgrade, migrate, and secure database environments.
• Manage backups, recovery, and ongoing maintenance to meet SLAs.
• Support HA/DR deployments and high-availability configurations.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Applications stakeholders and end-user communities.
• Respond to incidents during on-call rotation and resolve tickets within SLA.
