Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Mid-Level Databricks/Informatica Data Engineer for remote engagement to modernize data, migrate to cloud, and enable analytics across enterprise platforms.

The role emphasizes building scalable pipelines with Databricks and Informatica, supporting BI, reporting, and AI/ML workloads in a regulated government context. Strong SQL and integration design are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering, ETL, or data warehousing experience.
• 3+ years with Databricks, Apache Spark, or cloud analytics platforms.
• 3+ years with Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, or Informatica Cloud.
• Strong SQL development and performance tuning abilities.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale data integration solutions.
• Understanding of dimensional modeling, data warehousing, and MDM concepts.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Preferred: Snowflake, MS Fabric, Azure Synapse, or Redshift.
• Preferred: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.
• Preferred: Delta Lake, Medallion Architecture, Data Lakehouse concepts.
• Preferred: Informatica and/or Databricks certifications.
• Preferred: CI/CD pipelines, Git, Azure DevOps, or GitHub.
• Preferred: Federal Government / DoD / DHS experience; active clearance preferred.
• Desired: 5-8 years IT and end-to-end data platforms.
• Desired: Reporting, analytics, AI/ML workloads.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica PowerCenter and/or IICS.
• Build and optimize Databricks notebooks, workflows, and data pipelines for large-scale processing.
• Develop and support data ingestion frameworks from structured and unstructured sources.
• Implement data transformations, cleansing, enrichment, and validation processes.
• Create scalable solutions using PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements.
• Troubleshoot data integration, performance, and quality issues.
• Support migration to modern cloud-based data platforms.
• Develop and maintain data mappings and runbooks.
• Participate in Agile sprint planning, code reviews, and deployments.
