Eliassen Group is seeking a Mid-Level Databricks/Informatica Data Engineer for a remote, contract role supporting enterprise data modernization and cloud migration in a government-focused environment. You will design and build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines in Databricks, develop Informatica-based integrations, and enable analytics, BI, and reporting on cloud platforms.

Required 5+ years in data engineering with Databricks, Spark, and Informatica, strong SQL, and knowledge of Delta Lake.

Qualifications

5+ years of data engineering or data warehousing experience.
3+ years with Databricks, Spark, or cloud analytics platforms.
3+ years with Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica IICS.
Strong SQL development and performance tuning experience.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica PowerCenter and/or IICS.
Build and optimize Databricks notebooks, workflows, and data pipelines for large-scale data processing.
Develop and support data ingestion frameworks from structured and unstructured sources.
Implement data transformations, cleansing, enrichment, and validation processes.
Create scalable solutions using PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve data integration, performance, and data quality issues.
Support migration to cloud-based architectures.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, data mappings, and runbooks.
Participate in Agile sprint planning, code reviews, and deployments.
