Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Mid-Level Databricks/Informatica Data Engineer to support enterprise data modernization and cloud migration initiatives. You will design scalable pipelines in Databricks and develop ETL/ELT solutions with Informatica, enabling BI, reporting, and advanced analytics in a remote contract role.

The position requires 5+ years in data engineering, 3+ years with Databricks and Informatica, and strong SQL skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering, ETL development or data warehousing.
• 3+ years with Databricks, Apache Spark, or cloud analytics platforms.
• 3+ years with Informatica PowerCenter, IICS or Informatica Cloud.
• Strong SQL development and performance tuning experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica and IICS.
• Build and optimize Databricks notebooks, workflows, and data pipelines for large-scale processing.
• Develop data ingestion frameworks from structured and unstructured sources.
• Implement transformations, cleansing, enrichment, and validation processes.
• Create scalable solutions with PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and ensure data quality.
• Troubleshoot data integration, performance, and quality issues.
• Support migration to modern cloud-based data architectures.
• Develop technical documentation, data mappings, and runbooks.
• Participate in Agile sprint planning, code reviews, and deployments.
