Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Mid-Level Databricks/Informatica Data Engineer to support enterprise data modernization and cloud migration. You will build scalable pipelines in Databricks, develop ETL/ELT with Informatica, and enable BI, reporting, and advanced analytics in cloud platforms.

Responsibilities include designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines, developing ingestion frameworks, and supporting migration to modern architectures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering, ETL development, or data warehousing.
• 3+ years with Databricks, Apache Spark, or cloud analytics platforms.
• 3+ years with Informatica PowerCenter/IICS/Cloud.
• Strong SQL development and performance tuning.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale data integration solutions.
• Understanding of dimensional modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Preferred: Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Redshift, or similar tools.
• Preferred: AWS/Azure/Google Cloud experience.
• Preferred: Delta Lake, Data Lakehouse, Medallion Architecture knowledge.
• Preferred: Certifications in Informatica and/or Databricks.
• Preferred: CI/CD, Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub.
• Preferred: Federal government/regulatory environment experience with clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica PowerCenter and/or IICS.
• Build and optimize Databricks notebooks, workflows, and data pipelines for large-scale data processing.
• Develop and support data ingestion frameworks from structured and unstructured sources.
• Implement data transformations, cleansing, enrichment, and validation processes.
• Create scalable solutions using PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, data architects, analysts, and application teams to define data requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data integration, performance, and data quality issues.
• Support migration from legacy data warehouses to cloud-based architectures.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and data mappings.
• Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, code reviews, and deployments.
