Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Mid-Level Databricks/Informatica Data Engineer for remote, contract work. You will design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, build Databricks notebooks, and support cloud-based data platforms enabling BI, analytics, and reporting.

You will work with Informatica PowerCenter/IICS, Spark, Delta Lake, and various cloud services, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver enterprise-wide data solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering or data warehousing experience.
• 3+ years with Databricks, Spark, or cloud analytics platforms.
• 3+ years with Informatica PowerCenter, IICS, or Informatica Cloud.
• Strong SQL development and performance tuning skills.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale data integration solutions.
• Knowledge of dimensional modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• Desirable: Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Redshift, or data lakehouse concepts.
• Desirable: AWS/Azure/Google Cloud experience.
• Desirable: Certifications in Informatica or Databricks.
• Desirable: CI/CD, Git, Azure DevOps, or GitHub.
• Desirable: Federal government or regulated environments experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines using Informatica and IICS.
• Build and optimize Databricks notebooks, workflows, and data pipelines for large-scale processing.
• Develop data ingestion from structured and unstructured sources.
• Implement transformations, cleansing, enrichment, and validation processes.
• Create scalable solutions with PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements.
• Troubleshoot data integration, performance, and quality issues.
• Support migration to modern cloud-based architectures.
• Maintain technical documentation, data mappings, and runbooks.
• Participate in Agile development activities and code reviews.
