Job summary

Bayview Asset Management is seeking an IT Security Engineer focused on database security to protect enterprise databases across on-premises and cloud environments. You will partner with DBAs, Infrastructure, and Security teams to design secure configurations, monitor activity, and lead vulnerability remediation.

The role requires 7+ years in database administration or security, strong experience with SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL or MySQL, and hands-on use of database monitoring tools like IBM

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in database administration, engineering, or security.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise database platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Experience implementing database security controls including encryption, auditing, access controls, and privileged access management.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain database security controls across multiple database platforms.
• Conduct security architecture reviews and recommend secure configurations.
• Operate database activity monitoring and support vulnerability remediation and patching.
• Collaborate with DBAs, Infrastructure, and Security teams to secure database architectures and deployments.
