Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Database Administrator for a fully remote role based in the United States. You will design and maintain secure database systems supporting government supply operations and enterprise applications, ensuring data integrity, availability, and performance.

You will collaborate with developers, implement DoD/DoN security controls, optimize workloads, and contribute to testing, backup planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Two+ years in database administration or related software engineering activities.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field; or two years of college plus 3–5 years' experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, secure, and maintain database systems for government supply operations and enterprise applications.
• Develop and maintain stored procedures, functions, views, schemas, and other database objects.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and data security controls per DoD/DoN policies.
• Optimize queries and manage database releases for reliable performance.
• Prepare test plans and perform unit, integration, and performance testing.
• Develop backup and recovery procedures and ensure data integrity and availability.
• Collaborate with developers to align architecture with application requirements.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and secure software delivery processes.
• Document configurations, schemas, and operational procedures.
