Amplify is seeking a Data Scientist for its Supply Chain Analytics team. You will develop ML models to forecast demand, optimize inventory, and reduce costs across a broad educational product portfolio.

The role partners with Analytics Engineers and Data Analysts to build state‑of‑the‑art data products and reports to senior leadership. Mastery of Python, SQL, and modern ML libraries is essential, with remote work in the United States.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in data science focusing on supply chain forecasting or logistics optimization.
• Proficiency in time series forecasting methods (SARIMA, Prophet, XGBoost).
• Expert in Python for data analysis (cleaning, manipulation, analysis).
• Expert in SQL for data analysis tasks.
• Experience training/evaluating models using PyTorch, scikit-learn, tidymodels, XGBoost.
• Experience deploying models to production (AWS Sagemaker, Databricks, Snowpark ML).
• Experience with Git/version control and testing in software projects.
• Excellent written and spoken communication with non-technical partners.
• Experience driving self-directed projects and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Train, test, and deploy ML models across the supply chain analytics stack.
• Analyze data to explain drivers and recommend actions to improve operations.
• Collaborate across data ingestion, transformation, and modeling to deliver data products.
• Lead learning sessions and contribute new tooling or architectures to the team.
