Job summary

Mercury Insurance Services, LLC is seeking an analytics-driven data scientist to support projects that identify business opportunities and develop data-driven solutions. You will collaborate with software engineers, data analysts and product leaders, using data, statistical models and machine learning to answer key business questions.

The role requires strong programming and data skills (SQL, Python or R), experience with data mining and predictive modeling, and a willingness to work across

Qualifications

2+ years of data mining and statistical analysis.
2+ years experience with SQL and statistical software packages (Python, R, SAS).
At least 1 year as a data scientist or similar role with predictive modeling.
At least 1 year of experience in insurance or financial services.

Responsibilities

Identify business sources, conduct analyses and support improvements with ML.
Work with departments to interpret analyses and present findings.
Create monitoring procedures and dashboards to track results.
Prepare data and automate procedures to increase efficiency.
