Job summary

Mercury Insurance is seeking a data analyst to interpret complex datasets from claims operations, develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present insights that drive business decisions.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in insurance analytics, strong SQL and Power BI skills, experience with Python or R, and a Bachelor's in a mathematical or analytical field; Master’s may substitute for experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an analytical concentration (math, statistics, engineering)
• SAS and SQL Training
• Master's degree may replace work experience

Responsibilities

• Identify data opportunities with claims leaders and support cross-department collaboration
• Prepare data for analysis and create reports, graphs and dashboards
• Develop presentations and visual tools for management use and present findings to leadership
• Coordinate reporting for underwriting and data extraction from Guidewire/NextGen/EDW
• Maintain regular full-time schedule and adapt as needed
