Qualifications

• Strong mathematical modeling, machine learning and statistics.
• You choose methods for the question rather than for their sophistication, and you value explaining results.
• Deep comfort with spatio-temporal data: GIS, probability distributions, sparse observations.
• Experience reading SQL and Python and identifying logical errors in queries.

Responsibilities

• Improve and extend analytical method templates for locating where people live from MNO data.
• Design novel methods when needed for interventions.
• Support technical conversations with operators, clarifying data needs and driving implementable designs.
• Adapt methods for large data volumes and computational constraints.
• Lead in-country workshops to set up new analyses and tune parameters.
