Job summary

BetterHelp is hiring a Data Scientist to scale marketing analytics and optimize campaigns. You will work with a diverse team to develop, implement, and maintain marketing models including Bayesian Marketing Mix Models and Multi-Touch Attribution, while examining uplift tests to drive data-driven decisions.

The role supports remote work within the PST time zone, enabling collaboration across the marketing, product, and engineering teams. 3+ years of quantitative data analysis experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BSc/MA in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Math, Economics, CS, OR, or Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in a quantitative data analysis role involving user behavior and large data sets.
• Expertise in statistics, especially hypothesis testing and experiment design.
• Experience analyzing A/B tests and advanced methods like difference-in-difference, regression discontinuity, or network/panel data.
• Experience building predictive and causal inference models.
• Experience analyzing large data sets to drive business insights.
• Expertise using R and Python for data analysis.
• Excellent communication skills translating technical ideas for non-technical audiences.
• Advanced experience with SQL.

Responsibilities

• Get insight from large data sets and partner with marketing to test data-driven ideas for efficiency.
• Contribute to development, implementation, and maintenance of marketing models (Bayesian MMM, Multi-Touch Attribution).
• Monitor and analyze uplift tests with statistical rigor and present insights to drive decisions.
• Propose testable models and algorithms with measurable business impact.
