City of Hope is seeking a Data Scientist to design, develop, and deploy advanced ML/AI solutions for cancer research and clinical operations. The role integrates data science, AI engineering, and multimodal data (text, images, genomics) with LLMs and RAG pipelines.

You will collaborate with clinicians and IT, query large datasets, and lead cross-functional AI initiatives while delivering practical, production-ready systems in a fully remote US setting.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, ML, AI, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Bioinformatics, Engineering, or closely related field; or Bachelors with 3+ years experience.
• Experience with health data and EHR systems is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of deep learning and NLP methods.
• Experience with Cloud services platforms like Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, and prompt engineering.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and deploy ML/AI solutions for cancer research and clinical ops.
• Collaborate with clinicians, IT, and administrators; query large datasets.
• Build production-grade AI systems, including LLM-based RAG pipelines and multimodal models.
• Produce documentation, visualizations, and stakeholder presentations.
• Lead cross-functional AI initiatives and manage collaborative data science projects.
