Job summary

The Nath Lab at City of Hope is seeking postdoctoral researchers in computational oncology, AI, and data science. You will develop AI/ML models that integrate clinical and molecular data to predict treatment response, disease progression, and survival.

You will build scalable pipelines, work in HPC and cloud environments, collaborate with clinicians, and contribute to translational trials, aiming to translate data-driven insights into precision oncology tools.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in genetics, cancer biology, computational biology, bioinformatics, computer science, systems biology, or a related field.
• Candidates from quantitative disciplines with interest in analysis of complex biological and clinical data are encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R for large-scale molecular or clinical data analysis is required.
• Experience applying ML/AI methods to biomedical problems is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with multi-omic data analysis and predictive modeling is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI/ML models to predict patient outcomes, treatment response, disease progression, and survival using multimodal data.
• Build and maintain computational pipelines for large-scale biomedical data analysis.
• Perform analyses in HPC and GPU-enabled environments.
• Collaborate with clinicians, computational scientists, and data scientists in a multidisciplinary setting.
• Present findings at meetings and publish in peer-reviewed publications.
• Work with the PI to develop a personalized career development plan.
