Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, MIS, Business Administration or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
• At least 6 years of experience in data governance, product management, business analysis, data engineering, data science or a related field with at least 3 years focused on data products or data-driven initiatives.
• Experience working with multiple functional teams and engaging closely with the business.
• Strong business presence and ability to lead cross-functional partners in all phases of projects.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills and ability to generate insights from data and translate into actionable changes.
• Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong ability to write, present, and articulate concepts.
• Designed and implemented frameworks, processes, and metrics for a data office/function within banking services.
• Knowledge of data technologies, integration, architecture, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), modern data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks), and data processing frameworks (Hadoop, Spark).
• Experience with BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau) and data analytics, including data modeling, ETL, and SQL.
• Knowledge of financial services processes such as data management, card transactions, core banking deposits and customer processing, loan processing, payments, and fraud management.

Responsibilities

• Translate business requirements into detailed data, product specifications, and technical requirements.
• Work with data engineering, data science, data governance, and platform teams to develop and launch data products.
• Collaborate with Data Product Owner to define vision, mission, and strategic roadmap for data products.
• Assess complex business challenges and recommend leading practices to enhance data products.
• Develop and maintain a product roadmap and manage backlog and pipeline planning.
• Prioritize features based on customer feedback and business goals.
• Create comprehensive documentation for data products, including data mapping, lineage, and controls.
• Co-develop data product lifecycle from ideation to deployment and support.
• Understand data integration from various sources into data products.
• Ensure products are scalable, reliable, secure, and compliant with industry standards.
• Develop KPIs to measure product success and impact.
• Analyze product performance data to identify improvements and optimization opportunities.
• Regularly communicate product updates and strategic vision to stakeholders.
• Explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Help build a culture of trust and accountability within the data product team.
