Job summary

Underscore Marketing is hiring a hands-on Data Architecture & Data Engineering Leader to design, build and run a scalable data platform powering media, analytics and client reporting. You will own the enterprise data architecture, partner with stakeholders across Media, Strategy, Client Services and Product, and mentor a growing team including members in Kraków, Poland.

The role requires 16+ years in data engineering/architecture and strong cloud expertise (Google Cloud, BigQuery).

Qualifications

• 16+ years in data engineering or data architecture; 5+ years leading technical teams.
• Proven track record designing and running enterprise data platforms in the cloud (Google Cloud preferred).
• Experience building data foundations for commercial data products or client-facing platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the enterprise data architecture roadmap and governance.
• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and data models across multiple sources.
• Lead platform migrations and consolidate reporting platforms into a single source of truth.
• Build, mentor and lead a distributed data team across time zones.
• Establish data quality, security, compliance, and governance practices.
