Job summary

Eagle River Water & Sanitation District is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to own databases, pipelines, and integrations behind our Microsoft and Azure data platform. You will lead data migrations, design robust ETL/ELT pipelines, and ensure data quality across CIS, Cityworks, ArcGIS, and finance systems.

The role favors hands-on engineers who can move data from legacy systems to new platforms, with strong scripting and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or two years of relevant professional experience.
• 5+ years building and operating production data pipelines with SQL Server and Azure data services.
• Hands-on integration between systems (file exchange, APIs, or DB-to-DB).
• Experience with at least one major data migration project.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines on SQL Server, SSIS, and Azure Data Factory.
• Engineer and maintain data interfaces between CIS, vendors, and financial systems.
• Lead data migration projects, profile source data, mappings, conversions, and validation.
• Automate data tasks with Python, PowerShell, and CI/CD; manage code in GitLab.
