Job summary

Eagle River Water and Sanitation District is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to own the databases, pipelines, and integrations behind our Microsoft and Azure data platform. You will lead data migrations, design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, and ensure reliable data feeds for CIS, billing, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or two additional years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years building and operating production data pipelines (7+ years without a degree).
• Strong T-SQL and SQL Server design and performance tuning.
• Hands-on system-to-system integration experience.
• Experience with at least one major system replacement or data migration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines on SQL Server, SSIS, and Azure Data Factory.
• Engineer and maintain data interfaces between CIS and vendors.
• Lead data migration projects; profile source data, mappings, and conversions.
• Automate data tasks and manage pipeline code under GitLab.
