Coastal Waste & Recycling is seeking a Lead Enterprise Data Engineer to drive the design and reliability of our data platform. You will build scalable pipelines, optimize Snowflake and Azure Data Factory environments, and enforce data quality and security across reporting, analytics, and integrations.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with IT, analytics, and operations, and help shape AI-enabled data strategies to support growth and acquisitions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in a technical field and related professional experience.
• 7+ years of experience in data engineering or cloud data platforms.
• 2+ years in a technical lead, senior engineer, or equivalent role on enterprise data projects.
• Strong experience with Snowflake administration and SQL development.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory or comparable tools.
• Experience with cloud data architecture, API integrations, Git-based source control, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience supporting production data platforms with monitoring and data quality controls.

Responsabilités

• Lead design, development, and reliability of enterprise data pipelines and ingestion frameworks.
• Administer and optimize Snowflake environments, including databases, warehouses, roles, and costs.
• Develop and maintain Azure Data Factory pipelines and data movement processes.
• Establish monitoring, retry, and failure-recovery for critical data pipelines.
• Build data quality controls and source-to-target validation.
• Support integrations with enterprise apps, APIs, and cloud services.
• Follow CI/CD/change-management processes for production pipelines and objects.
• Provide technical direction, mentoring, and review for data engineers and partners.
