Job summary

Renaissance Life & Health Insurance Company of America is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to scale our data platform and connect Microsoft Fabric with the Azure ecosystem. You will design the integration layer and work with the Data Platform Lead, AI Manager, and engineering teams to translate strategy into durable architecture.

This role emphasizes building robust data pipelines, data quality and governance, and platform reliability.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, data engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, or related technical role.
Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (Azure Data Factory, Azure API Management, Azure Synapse).
Experience designing integration architectures, data contracts, and platform patterns for partner use.
Experience with data modeling, pipeline orchestration, and scalable data infrastructure.
Strong communication and collaboration across engineering, data, product, and business teams.
Willingness to learn new tools and AI-enabled solutions; uses AI tools responsibly.

Responsibilities

Design and implement the integration layer between Microsoft Fabric and Azure services (API Management, Data Factory, Event Hubs, Databricks).
Define data contracts, API standards, and integration patterns for partner teams to self-serve.
Establish scalable platform architecture that adapts to evolving needs.
Collaborate with AI Manager to support AI/ML initiatives.
Build and maintain robust data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Azure tooling.
Implement data quality, governance, and lineage practices across the platform.
Enhance platform reliability and performance by identifying bottlenecks.
Evaluate tools and processes to advance the platform roadmap.
