Job summary

Renaissance Benefits is seeking an experienced Data Platform Engineer to scale and integrate its data platform across the organization. You will design the integration layer between Microsoft Fabric and Azure, enabling reliable consumption of platform capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, data engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in data engineering or platform engineering.
• Hands-on Azure experience with Data Factory, API Management, Synapse.
• Experience designing integration architectures and data contracts.
• Experience with data modeling, pipelines, and scalable infra.
• Strong cross-team collaboration and communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the integration layer between the Microsoft Fabric platform and Azure services, including Azure API Management, Azure Data Factory, Event Hubs, and Azure Databricks.
• Define data contracts, API standards, and integration patterns that enable partner development teams to self-serve against the platform.
• Establish scalable platform architecture that can be extended as organizational needs evolve.
• Partner with the AI Manager to ensure the data platform supports current and future AI and machine learning initiatives.
• Build and maintain robust data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, and related data platform tooling.
• Implement data quality, governance, and lineage practices across the platform.
• Drive platform reliability and performance by proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
• Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and process improvements that advance the data platform roadmap.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
