Job summary

Snowflake is seeking a Data Engineering Specialist to join the Applied Field Engineering team in CA/Menlo Park, with remote options. You will design and communicate Snowflake data platform architectures to executives and technical staff, lead demonstrations, and guide customers through proofs of concept and design implementations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of architecture and data engineering experience in the Enterprise Data space.
• 5+ years in a pre-sales environment (Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, etc.).
• Outstanding presentation skills to technical and executive audiences.
• Ability to connect customer business problems with Snowflake solutions.
• Experience designing interoperable data lakehouse architectures with Iceberg/Delta/Parquet.
• Hands-on with SQL, Python, Spark, Hadoop, Hive, and other big data tech.
• Knowledge of data integration tools for ETL/ELT pipelines and streaming tech.

Responsibilities

• Apply multi-cloud data architecture expertise and present Snowflake to executives and tech contributors.
• Demonstrate Snowflake value to prospects through demos and proofs of concept within the sales cycle.
• Stay current on competitive technologies and position Snowflake accordingly.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Marketing to improve Snowflake products and messaging.
