Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a Data Model Architect to design and implement enterprise data models aligned with governance and data warehousing needs. You will collaborate with platform architects, product owners, and analysts to reduce data redundancy and streamline data movement.

The role emphasizes expert data modeling, metadata management, and experience with modern DataOps practices. Remote from the DC area is possible, with 10% travel. A CBIP or related certification is a plus.

Qualifications

5 years of hands-on experience with relational and dimensional data modeling.
CBIP Certification is a plus.
Expert knowledge of metadata management and related tools.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Advanced troubleshooting skills and edge-case envisioning in real data sets.
Awareness of DevOps practices (source control, automated testing, deployments).
Familiarity with modern CI/CD practices and DataOps principles.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and data visualization.

Responsibilities

Analyze and translate business needs into supporting, conceptual data models.
Collaborate with development teams to create physical data models and implementation roadmaps.
Develop best practices for data model development to ensure consistency.
Ensure data models adhere to data classification and governance objectives.
Review data models in data systems for variances, efficiency, and interoperability.
Evangelize data models and align their use to support a variety of business needs.
Troubleshoot and optimize data models.
