Job summary

REV LLC is seeking an experienced Data Architect to lead the design, governance, quality, and integration of enterprise data for a large-scale modernization.

The role is a 1099 Independent Contractor engagement, part-time (~20 hours/week), and primarily remote, with the ability to report onsite in Washington State when required. You will shape data models, governance, and cloud data platform strategies while collaborating with enterprise architects and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 12 semester hours or 18 quarter hours of computer science coursework.
• 7+ years of professional IT experience in IT analysis, data analysis, system design, development, databases or related disciplines.
• 5+ years hands-on Data Architecture experience.
• Experience with enterprise data governance, data quality, and Master Data Management concepts.
• Experience with data integration, migration, conversion, and transformation patterns.
• Experience with API-based data services and modern integration patterns.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL experience.
• Cloud data technologies across Azure, AWS, and/or GCP.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
• Define data structures, schemas, metadata standards, and naming conventions.
• Document data flows, lineage, transformation rules, and dependencies.
• Ensure data architecture supports operations, reporting, and analytics.
• Design API-based data services and secure data-sharing patterns.
• Evaluate data storage, ingestion, processing, and transformation approaches.
• Provide guidance across cloud and hybrid environments.
