Job summary

Chartis is seeking a Data Licensing & Operations Manager to own the end-to-end management of our third-party data portfolio. You will oversee procurement, licensing, vendor relationships, and data governance to support advisory and analytics work.

In this role, you’ll manage sourcing and renewals, ensure compliance with data-use terms, and collaborate with legal, finance, and practice leadership to optimize data spend and ROI. Remote-friendly environment with strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of vendor management, procurement, contract administration, or data operations roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, information management, healthcare administration, or related field.
• Experience negotiating data licensing or software procurement agreements.
• Strong project management skills with independent, multi-stream work ability.
• Vendor relationship management including renewals and governance.
• Familiarity with healthcare data types and HIPAA/DUA terms.
• Meticulous, detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to translate terms for non-legal audiences.

Responsibilities

• Partner with practice leaders to evaluate data needs, vendor options, determine financial implications, and translate requirements into procurement specs.
• Manage end-to-end procurement lifecycle for third-party data assets and onboarding with data engineering.
• Serve as primary contact for data vendors, manage relationships, access, delivery, and reviews.
• Administer and maintain all third-party data licensing agreements and reporting obligations.
• Guide pricing strategy and cost allocation models for data assets.
• Identify opportunities to rationalize vendor portfolio and improve ROI.
• Build and maintain a centralized data vendor inventory with contracts, terms, renewal dates, cost, and usage metrics.
• Own the vendor renewal calendar and lead renegotiations to optimize terms.
• Track data usage compliance, maintain audit-ready records, ensure reporting obligations.
• Lead project management for data operations initiatives and new data acquisitions.
