Job summary

Omnicell is seeking a Manager, Data Governance to join the Legal Department and shape how data is managed, trusted, and used across the company. You will create standards, policies, and a de-identification program compliant with HIPAA to empower analytics and research while protecting PHI.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years in data governance or related discipline.
• Experience creating and implementing governance frameworks and standards.
• Experience establishing data quality metrics and monitoring mechanisms.
• Knowledge of HIPAA/HITECH, CCPA/CPRA and their governance implications.
• Ability to translate governance requirements into practical processes and controls.
• Strong written and verbal communication for governance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data governance standards, policies, and procedures across the data lifecycle.
• Translate governance requirements into practical processes and controls adopted by operations.
• Establish a formal data use program with defined access, use, and sharing rules.
• Define and monitor data quality metrics and KPIs with owners and stewards.
• Design and operate a HIPAA de-identification program in line with Safe Harbor and Expert Determination.
• Partner with Privacy, Legal, Security, and IT to align data practices with laws and contracts.
• Provide regular reporting on data quality, policy adoption, and exceptions to leadership.
