Job is seeking a Data Entry Clerk to type information into our database from paper documents. The position is remote, with North Carolina as the base. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy, a fast typist, and detail-oriented, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.

You will report to a data manager or senior team member and work to keep data accessible in a digital database, performing verifications and backups as needed. Strong English skills are required.

Qualifications

• Fast typing with accuracy and eye for detail.
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
• Familiar with office equipment and hardware.
• Good command of English (oral and written) and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or databases.
• Type in data provided directly from customers.
• Create spreadsheets with large figures without mistakes.
• Verify data by comparing it to source documents.
• Retrieve data from databases or electronic files as requested.
• Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.
• Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost.
