Cleara is seeking a Data Entry Clerk to type information into our database from paper documents and support our clients in the background screening industry. This role is fully remote and requires fast typing, keen eye for detail, and strict data confidentiality. You will verify data against source documents and ensure accuracy for digital access.

Candidates should have a high school diploma and proven data entry experience, with strong MS Office skills and customer service awareness.

Qualifications

Proven experience as data entry clerk.
Fast typing skills; touch typing preferred.
Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office).
Working knowledge of office equipment and peripheral devices.
Basic understanding of databases.
Good command of English, oral and written.
Great attention to detail.
High school degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders or optical scanners.
Type in data provided directly from customers.
Verify data by comparing it to source documents.
Update existing data.
Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested.
Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.
Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost.
