Job summary

SHI is seeking a Solutions Engineer, Data Engineering to design, build, and deliver enterprise-scale data pipelines using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric. You will collaborate with Solution Engineers, Project Managers, and client stakeholders to implement secure, scalable data platforms for analytics, reporting, and AI use cases.

This hands-on role emphasizes delivering end-to-end data engineering workstreams in regulated environments, with initial focus on state-level public sector

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience delivering data engineering on Azure and Fabric.
• Experience with production data platforms and data governance.
• Ability to work in consulting or project-based delivery.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines.
• Build scalable data lakehouse and warehouse solutions on Azure and Fabric.
• Develop data models, ETL/ELT processes, and historical data versioning.
• Ensure security, encryption, and HIPAA/NIST compliant controls.
• Collaborate with BI/analytics teams for downstream data needs.
• Produce high quality design docs, runbooks, and templates.
