Job summary

SHI is seeking a Data Engineering Solutions Engineer to design, build, and deliver enterprise-scale data platforms using Azure and Fabric. You will own data pipelines, validate data quality, and collaborate with Solution Engineers and clients to enable analytics, reporting, and AI use cases.

The role is remote, with a home office setup provided, and focuses on state-level public sector and regulated industry projects within the SHI Data and AI practice.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience delivering data engineering on Azure and Fabric.
• Experience with lakehouse/warehouse architectures and analytics enablement.
• Experience in consulting or project-based delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines using Azure services.
• Build data lakehouse/warehouse solutions with Azure and Fabric for scalable analytics.
• Maintain data models, ETL/ELT processes, and historical data versioning.
• Configure Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 and lifecycle management.
• Implement data validation, quality controls, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with BI teams to prepare data for reporting and AI use cases.
• Support governance, lineage, access patterns and operational readiness.
• Produce technical documentation and migration/runbook artifacts.
