Job summary

SHI International Corp. is seeking a hands-on Solutions Engineer, Data Engineering to design, build, and deliver enterprise-scale data platforms using Microsoft Azure and Fabric. You will collaborate with engineers, PMs, and clients to implement secure, scalable pipelines supporting analytics and AI use cases.

The role is primarily remote with home office setup per policy. Initial focus includes state-level public sector and regulated industries, delivering lakehouse architectures and data

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience delivering modern data engineering solutions on Azure and/or Fabric.
• Strong foundation across data pipelines, lakehouse/warehouse architectures, and relational data platforms.
• Experience designing and operating production data platforms with modeling, ingestion, and analytics enablement.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and implement data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines using Azure tools.
• Develop and optimize data lakehouse/warehouse solutions for scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Create data models, ETL/ELT processes, and historical data versioning for multi-source datasets.
• Configure and manage ADLS Gen2 environments and data lifecycle strategies.
• Ensure data quality, validation, and auditable data platforms with governance.
• Collaborate with BI/analytics teams to prepare data for reporting and AI use cases.
• Apply security best practices including encryption and identity-based access control.
• Support monitoring, operational reporting, and production readiness of pipelines.
• Work with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data across cloud/on-prem environments.
• Translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions and runbooks.
