Job summary

Branch is a remote-first fintech company in the United States seeking a Data Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines powering key processes like data movement, fraud response, and client reporting. You will work with peers to deliver pipelines, integrate APIs, and automate workflows.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in data engineering, 3+ years of Airflow experience, and strong Python/SQL skills, with Snowflake/DBT/GCP experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Data Engineering experience.
• 3+ years of Airflow experience.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Working knowledge of Snowflake, Airflow, DBT, and GCP.
• BS in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines that other teams and customers rely on.
• Integrate with internal and external APIs to send and receive data.
• Orchestrate and automate workflows using Airflow on Kubernetes.
• Implement unit tests, monitoring, and alerting to ensure data reliability.
• Improve the observability and efficiency of existing pipelines.
• Monitor production pipelines, debug issues, and document root causes.
