Job summary

Branch is a data-driven fintech company delivering fast payments and financial services to millions of workers across the United States. We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team, building and maintaining pipelines powering our data products and business decisions.

You’ll work with engineers and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end data infrastructure, improving reliability, observability, and performance across our data stack. This role is remote within the U.S.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Data Engineering experience.
• 3+ years of Airflow experience.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Working knowledge of our existing tech stack: Snowflake, Airflow, DBT, GCP.
• BS in Computer Science or related field

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines that other teams and customers rely on.
• Integrate with internal and external APIs to send and receive data.
• Orchestrate and automate workflows using Airflow on Kubernetes.
• Implement unit tests, monitoring, and alerting to ensure data reliability.
• Improve the observability and efficiency of existing pipelines.
• Monitor production pipelines, debug issues, and document root causes.
• Work with stakeholders to clarify requirements and validate assumptions.
• Contribute to design discussions and surface functional gaps early
