Job summary

Slalom is seeking a data integration and BI professional to design and implement data pipelines on Microsoft Fabric, focusing on migration and self-service analytics. You will craft semantic models and Power BI dashboards that meet business requirements while modernizing legacy reporting.

The role emphasizes collaboration with architects and stakeholders in a remote US setting, leveraging agile practices to deliver scalable analytics solutions and ensure data quality.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and developing data integration, ETL/ELT, and migration solutions on modern cloud data platforms.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric including Data Factory, Lakehouse and Warehouse.
• Advanced Power BI development experience with semantic modeling and dashboards.
• Knowledge of data architecture, data modeling, and source-to-target mapping.
• Experience modernizing legacy BI environments and enabling self-service analytics.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical data solutions and to work in agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Enterprise Data Architect to define user stories and mapping specs.
• Design and develop integration patterns and data pipelines for Fabric ingestion and migration.
• Develop data migration solutions with technical design and unit testing.
• Analyze data models and reporting to define migration needs and changes.
• Define migration approach for moving models into Power BI semantic layer.
• Create domain-driven semantic models for self-service analytics and dashboards.
• Assess legacy reports and plan migration/remake approaches.
• Design and develop Power BI reports/dashboards with improved functionality.
• Support end-to-end validation of Fabric data integration, migration, semantics, and reporting.
