Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain our Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse as we migrate our Azure-Synapse analytics platform. You will own the full data lifecycle from pipelines to production, implement data quality, and partner with architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure data solutions.

This remote-friendly role is open to candidates in the United States; preference for those with Azure Fabric, Synapse, Databricks

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of hands-on data engineering experience.
• Production-grade Azure Synapse, Fabric, and Databricks expertise.
• Strong SQL and Python for data transformation and automation.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent communication and ownership of data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable Lakehouse and data warehouse solutions.
• Develop, optimize, and deploy ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Implement data quality, validation, and transformation logic.
• Document data models, pipelines, and runbooks.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and product teams.
