Job summary

Providence is seeking a Data Engineer I to design and build modern data-centric software applications supporting clinical and operational processes across the healthcare system. The role emphasizes cloud, big data, data science, and modern software development practices with regular delivery.

You'll work closely with Product, Platform, and Architecture teams to deliver on joint initiatives, prioritizing simple, maintainable solutions and strong source control and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent education/experience.
• 1 year related experience; 1-3 years preferred.
• Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Designs and builds modern data-centric software applications for healthcare systems.
• Builds data pipelines and transformations, data enrichment processes, provisioning layers, and user interfaces.
• Collaborates with Product, Platform and Architecture teams to deliver joint efforts.
