Job summary

Providence is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to leverage health data products and cloud-native pipelines within Enterprise Information Services. You will collaborate with Product, Platform, and Architecture teams to deliver data-driven solutions that support patient-centered care and operational excellence.

Strong experience in big data, Spark, Python, SQL, and modern ETL/ELT tooling is required, with a focus on secure, scalable data processing of HL7/FHIR and EHR data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics or Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Analyze clinical data and report trends to stakeholders.
• Design and build data-centric software to support clinical and operational processes.
• Develop data pipelines and transformations with modern tooling and cloud platforms.
• Mentor and coach junior Data Engineers and contribute to reusable templates.
